I'm not going on holiday today, but my PC is. The poor old thing has so little memory on it that it has to go to computer-hospital to address the signs of early-onset dementia ...

... hopefully it should make a rapid recovery after treatment.

Not really a vacaction, but, just to let you guys know...
I am in the path of the dangerous and destructive Hurricane Sandy over here in the colonies-don't worry, my area (western Pennsylvania) won't get hit quite as hard as the East Coast, but we're still expecting power outages from the high winds :(. I'll still try to keep in touch through my iPad in case of a power outage. The storm is whipping up outside as I type :o...

Any other members here in the path of this storm? If so, please keep safe :)!

Good heavens :o

I didn't realise that it was penetrating as far inland as western Pennsylvania. Take care :)

I wouldn't like to be in NYC or Long Island or New Jersey tonight ::)

Thanks, Colin :). Yes, the effects of the hurricane are reaching as far inland as Michigan :o! The wind is howling out there now. I'm expecting the lights to go out any minute :(!

Excellent news! The US has obviously taken a real hit with "Hurricane Sandy" (a most inappropriate name, given that Olivia Newton-John springs readily to mind) and I can't imagine the anxiety which people must have knowing that their possessions (including their music), livelihood and property are in jeopardy ...

 :o

... stay safe.
