Can I ask if anyone recorded the premiere of James MacMillan's Symphony No.4 performed at the BBC Proms on August 3rd by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under Donald Runnicles?
And, if so, could it be uploaded here please?

I will certainly add my plea. And, Hugh Wood: Epithalamion. Anyone? It would be greatly appreciated.

Both works, MacMillan and Wood, have been uploaded (in flac) and reviewed in detail here: 5against4.comHaven't listened to MacMillan yet but Wood is stunning. To write such a fresh and brilliant score at 83 is amazing. Reminds me of Walton's choral works but Wood's great love Schönberg is also assimilated.

… music is not only an `entertainment’, nor a mere luxury, but a necessity of the spiritual if not of the physical life, an opening of those magic casements through which we can catch a glimpse of that country where ultimate reality will be found. RVW, 1948
