The Hans Gál Society have announced a celebratory concert at Edinburgh's Queen's Hall (3.30pm, Sunday 7th June) on the occasion of the composer's 125th anniversary featuring Gál's music for voices and strings:
With Patricia Rozario (soprano), The Edinburgh Quartet, Juliette Bausor (flute) and Glasgow Chamber Choir conducted by Michael Bawtree
Programme to include Gál's Of A Summer’s Day for female choir, soprano solo and strings, Nachtmusik for male choir, soprano solo, piano, cello and flute, his Lyrical Suite for solo soprano, flute & string quartet, as well as the Motet for mixed choir a capella.
