And a propos, a Scotch friend expressed just yesterday the following impression:
"Yesterday I was at Glyndebourne - and the sun came out. There is something about being with the English at play......that makes you glad you are not one of them. Watching the English at play is great fun! I just don't want to be English. But there is something about the Glyndebourne audience - they are amazingly elderly and well heeled and public school."
