Certainly not the Dutilleux, which is on the radio fairly frequently - certainly more than the other three put together. Personally, I've never warmed to Dutilleux's music, though I don't doubt its merit.

Interesting site..I totally agree with the bit re Dukas...why oh why didn't he write more, esp orchestral??

I'm pretty keen on Dutilleux myself. "L'arbre des songes" is one of my favorite 20th Century violin concertos.

I can answer that. He was morbidly self-critical. He did write a lot more, but he destroyed it all.
