Ha.  Thanks for this - I was just thinking about him earlier today, and wondering what I might be able to dig up online.  I know he wrote an opera, The Prodigal Son, which appears to have been recorded, but I can't for the life of me find a copy available.

Kalsons can be a tough nut to crack, some his early music does not move me much. The 5th symphony and Concerto Grosso
I did like a lot.
BUT
All I can say is that his violin concerto left me breathless..not for the weark of heart or the unadventurous..
The orchestral effects are simply dazzling..it is at the U tube site mentioned above.

I like Kalsons later works especially the violin concerto but can also recommend the earlier cello
concerto. They're both on a CD:

I also enjoyed a lot the music posted on this forum by Juris Karlsons.
