My erstwhile employers, English National Opera, are seeking fresh talent.

You might think it was ENO's job to know who was good in the field, but apparently not. They are setting out, like Dick Whittington and His Cat, to seek their fortune. Or at any rate, they're advertising on the internet for people who might know about opera.

Applications will be vetted by a panel which includes London's most talentless self-promoter, Will Self...  who himself knows nothing about opera whatsoever.  Others on the panel include those who have staged some of ENO's most prominent fiascoes of late.
