I am not a Sibelius or Finale user myself but have encountered and discussed issues with a number of excellent editors of Sorabji's scores who do use one or the other and I understand that there used to be quite a few problems with setting out certain complex piano textures, especially those involving long phrases that cross from one stave to another; one editor told me some years ago that he had on occasion to "cheat" with Finale in order to obtain the desired results, although he still preferred it to Sibelius. I do not know for sure if these issues have all been fully ironed out in more recent versions.

That said, whilst editors of Sorabji's scores used to have to make their editions by hand in the ealy days (late 1980s - early 1990s), music setting software has come on by leaps and bounds since then and so everyone who does this work now uses it, Finale and Sibelius being the most commonly used (as I believe is the case generally).
