Just discovered the following 2 videos with Söderlind's symphonies no.6 & 8 on YT, performed by the Tchaikovsky Orchestra:
Symphony no.6, conducted by Denis Lotoev 2012-05-27
Symphony no.8 (2005) 'In memory of Sibelius', conducted by V.Fedoseyev 2013-02-28

Well done, sir ! So many of these lovely posts on YT defeat the likes of me because of the language barrier - despite the site's offer to translate occasionally ! Any more 'revelations' welcomed !

WOW!!!
I have been absent from AMF for a few days (busy, busy, busy!) and return to find loads of great Estonian music(many thanks to Dave) and now this link to the Soderlind Symphony No.6 :) :) :) I had obtained the Symphony No.8 through the great kindness of another member only a few days ago.....but now the Sixth as well!
As a (possibly) well-know Soderlind "nut" this feels like a second Christmas ;D

......but is it not ironic that it seems to be the Russians who appreciate Soderlind far more than his fellow Norwegians :(

I should also add for those interested that Symphony No.6 has the title "Todesahnung" which, if my German can stand up ;D, means "presentiment of death".
Thoroughly Nordic ;D ;D

I haven't listened to these Sĝderlind symphonies yet (but am certainly delighted to get them as well), however I can confirm Colin is correct about the translation of "Todesahnung". My impression is that Sĝderlind seems to refer to Tchaikovsky here: it is his Symphony No. 6 Op. 74, which is just the same number and opus number as in case of Tchaikovsky's "Pathétique", and given the latter work's well-known background I assume this might not be mere chance...

Interesting, was that Rachmaninoff Symphonic Dances quote in the Symphony No. 6. It is so great to hear these but really needs a good recording. I think the Symphony No. 6 recording was from the camera microphone so there is no sense of balance. Hopefully someone will take note and give us a set of these wonderful symphonies in glorious performance & sound.
