Anyone here knowledgable about technical matters? I am trying to play music files from the PC to an external speaker using Windows Media Player "Play to" function. Some files work but most do not. The only common factor I can find is that the ones that work have a bitrate of around 260 kbps and those that don't are all around 152 kbps.

Is there a way round this?
