Have they been recorded before? ::)

Yeah, I'm honestly not too impressed with Hyperion anymore. The last two installments in the once-great RPC series have been duds.

Apparently, they think it will sell, or it is self-inflicted sabotage. The free market will (and should) decide for us..

Dunno - but I don't think I've heard of this Brahms fellow. How does one pronounce it? To rhyme with "lambs"?

The cover is too small for me to read....but perhaps the cd includes the VERY rare Piano Concerto No.3 ??? ???

I think so ;D
Even if there was a long-lost, newly-discovered PC 3 by Brahms with a score in perfect condition, Hyperion probably wouldn't record it! ::) ;D

Perhaps the cover refers to the piano concertos not of the well-known Johannes Brahms, but his unjustly neglected and long-forgotten second cousin twice removed, Fritz Kaspar Brahms??? Whose Symphony No. 23 in F minor was reviewed as "Bargielian" and "perhaps the finest work in this form since Ansorge's Fifth".

I love fictitious pieces..should we start a thread? Perhaps Chopin's 3rd symphony for starters. I think Fritz Kaspar Brahms also wrote the Kaspar, the Freindly Ghost, for 100 bagpipes and orchestra.

Dunno - but I don't think I've heard of this Brahms fellow. How does one pronounce it? To rhyme with "lambs"? They say he rhymes with "Beethoven", but I'm not sure who that is.
