Due out soon from Toccata:

Symphony no. 3 Sinfonia Pascale; Suite for Orchestra Cargoes; A Helpston Fantasia; Siberian SO/Dmitry Vasiliev

Volume One in this series consisted of Spratley's delightful works for string orchestra, which are firmly in the VW/Britten/early Tippett mould. As I enjoyed that release, I have high expectations for Volume 2. A Siberian orchestra in British music? Seems strange, but who knows!

Spratley is very much an underrated composer, this CD looks fantastic! (Siberian or otherwise..)  Thanks to Toccata for recognizing this fine composer.
This is the kind of music that should be at the PROMs!! Wake up UK!
