The first few minutes are immensely gripping. The whole symphony is an important work and should urgently be made available on CD...

Bate not Bates,of course (he's the one with the motel)! And there I was thinking I'd checked everything! :( ;D
Incidentally,I tried to reply earlier,but I couldn't connect!

Actually,I'm given to understand that Foulds manuscript is in India. If it still exists,that is! I suppose someone might go and have a look there one day?!
Another one I wish they'd find. Havergal Brian's Second Suite 'Night portraits'.

I thought I saw something mysterious looking through the attic door,the other day. On closer inspection it turned out to be my tv aerial! :( :o ;D
