I said I would order this today:

but when I looked at the Presto Classical website, it said it was out of stock and might take up to six weeks before it became available. Being an impatient old sod, I bought it as a download instead. I have listened to the First Symphony and I am very impressed. It's unmistakeably Scandinavian but I can't say it sounds derivative. It's very strong melodically, the harmony is piquant, the orchestration is excellent, reflecting the exigencies of both structure and dynamics, and whole thing just "works". I am looking forward to listening to the 2nd now. :) All those chaps further up the page were right. This music is too good to miss!
