Excellent-thanks for the heads-up! I really didn't feel like taking the trouble to track down and purchase a copy of that Electrecord box set. Welcome to the forum, by the way. :)

Since it is the record label itself which has posted these on You Tube I feel able (ethically) to download the lot......but, on my goodness, it will take a lot of time to do so ::)

You need to get a downloader on your computer, Colin. Then you can grab these goodies quickly and painlessly!

There are all sorts of free programs available to choose from, depending on your computing setup.

Wonderful! Wonderful! If Bentoiu were, say, a Frenchman, this might be generally acknowledged as one of the finest symphonic cycles in the 20th century. These brilliant Romanian modernists are so criminally neglected, I can't believe it.

Am I nuts, or do I really hear echoes of Copland in Bentoiu's music?
Also, some of the some of the symphonies with multiple movements are not numbered.
Does someone have this information or am I just not seeing that?
The symphonies are very enjoyable..
