Some fine music here but for some odd reason, not one note of Stjepan Sulek's fine music..

Excellent music, indeed! Too bad about the lack of Sulek, but I strongly encourage anyone unfamiliar with Krsto Odak's "Adriatic" Symphony to investigate it.

Oh goodie! I came across the Odak while researching symphonies inspired by the sea and my interest was piqued-I shall certainly give it a listen! I've found Sulek's music to be consistently impressive and he is, without a doubt, the most important Croatian composer. A shame he has no representation, but at least we have a good amount of his music in our downloads.

If you like the Odak symphony (his No. 1), I have the 2nd and 3rd as well, which I believe are uploadable versions that I would be happy to provide to the forum.

I enjoyed Odak's Symphony no. 1 very much, so I would be most grateful for recordings of the 2nd and 3rd :)

Odak's 3rd has been uploaded by jowcol. You may find the link in the downloads archive of the Unsung Composers page which Sidney Grew has provided here:

Sulak is quite unique..he is tonal - his orchestration is very clever and quite dense..for that reason, I found his 3 chamber concertos an easier listen
and good way to begin.
His symphonies are epic and grand..but take your time or you will miss much of his genius..
