Discovered this piano concerto amongst the masses of Japanese Channels where occasionally something startling appears - if you can get a translation. Saegusa appears to be a well-established composer, and I've enjoyed listening, but conventional it isn't, certainly to start with !
Be interested to know what learned colleagues make of the piece. In expectation. Clive.

He composed a wonderful violin concerto which is available on a Japanese Toshiba CD (TOCZ-9181)!
Best, Tobias

It's not very surprising to discover that Saegusa composes for anime. This piano concerto is very cinematic ... and I'm afraid in places rather corny. Still, good fun.
