Though he is not the most well-represented on CD of American composers, it is still rather surprising that none of the four symphonies of Lukas Foss have been recorded. I do realize that much of Foss' music written after 1950 is quite modern (but not avant-garde) in style, but I am still quite intrigued as to what his symphonies sound like. I would especially like to hear his early Symphony no. 1 in G minor (1944), but would be grateful for the opportunity to hear his Symphonies 2 Symphony of Chorales (1958), 3 Symphony of Sorrows (1989-91, of which only the Elegy for Anne Frank has been recorded) and 4 Window to the Past (1995). So, if anyone would happen to have recordings of any of Foss' symphonies to upload...

I know that Holger has a recording of the Symphony No.2........nudge, nudge ;D ;D
