The mezzo-soprano Wendy White fell from a platform eight feet above the stage during a performance of Gounod’s “Faust” at the Metropolitan Opera on Saturday night and was taken to the hospital. The Met said she did not appear to be seriously injured and was in stable condition but was undergoing tests

Thanks Neil. In the article they say that it doesn't happen often.
But I know several incidence here that happened recently. Something fell from the stage and hit the first violinist on the head last year. She was badly shaken and was still recovering several months later.
Dagger fell from the stage and just missed double bass player several years ago.

I think walking backstage is dangerous too!!!
It is interesting how discussions bring me to find something new!!!!

It is timely to wish people here Marry Christmas!!!!

Sorry everyone .One day I will learn not to rush and check my spelling even better.
For now my warmest wishes to you all.
I am very grateful to be accepted here and to be able to learn more about classical music.

This is a season to be happy and grateful.

In this life it is good when people are not only good musicians, but good people in general. It is important to be generous and not kick others when they are down.

I would like to say to that other board the same, but this message would be lost on them.

Art could be good thing, or it could be exercise in power and dictatorship. People  go to their goal with blinders, become not carrying and actually doing a lot of damage to people in selfish  pursue of fame and glory.  Maybe it is too strong, but this is what I feel.
It is easy to kick someone who is weaker, use them for own goal and exploit for own gain.
