It may just be of some slight interest to note that I have just updated my catalogue of downloaded music-from this site and from "that other one" to which I used to belong ;D

The catalogue now amounts to 408 pages. With a rough average of eight works per page that means that over the last year and a half I have downloaded roughly 3264 pieces of music, 95+% of which I had previously no access.

That is-to my mind-an incredible statistic :)

This is entirely due to the amazing generosity of other people, people I have never met and, sadly, am never very likely to meet....but who have been prepared to share the music they have collected from LPs or radio broadcasts to fellow music-lovers.

Once again....to All these people and to those who run this site and make it all possible...MANY THANKS :)

Yes, we should have an A-MF lovers' convention - Maldives sounds good !
Haven't managed quite as many downloads as Mr. D, but certainly could run to 4 figures, 99.9% of which I'd never have had a hope of discovering without the good folks here - and 'elsewhere' ! It's really contributed (and continues to do so) vastly to my enjoyment of the past couple of years. And in case one or two of you wonder, yes,I do feel most guilty that in return I contribute precisely nothing in expertise or musical 'currency'.
Thanks backed up in spades, Mr. D, to you and all who enrich our lives here so generously and enthusiastically.

MVS, Sicmu, Holger, and of course Jowcol, are some other download heavyweights that demand mention and gratitude if we're going to start naming names.

no harm in that..please add to the list, hope no one is offended by omission....the contributions here have been selfless..
And lest we forget, Karl Miller, whose fine collection of rarities has also appeared with many aliases..
