With our favourite art form chasing fewer and fewer monetary returns here are a couple of ideas to redress the balance:

Scenario 1 - last movement of Beethoven's 9th:

The baritone soloist appears with a large box bearing the legend "BRAND X PRINTER SUPPLIES"

After the orchestral introduction, he sings "O Freunde, nicht diese Toner!" (points to box)

===============================================

Scenario 2 - 4th act of Verdi's "Forza"

Alvaro enters in monk's robes. Carlo is dressed in a sailor's uniform with the words "SS ORGANIC" on his cap.

Alvaro sings "Le spinaci i fieri accenti  ... o fratel, pietà, pietà"

===============================================

any more ideas?

(sorry - it's been a *very* boring weekend!)
