Is it possible CPO does not itself know much in advance when a release is going to happen, - that it depends in some cases on rather more immediate circumstances, whatever those might be?  Alternatively, internal communications among company personnel may be less than ideally efficient, and CPO's public liaison unaware of what others therein could know quite definitively.

CPO's artistic vision and venturesomeness are apparently embedded in a business organization only erratically oriented around marketing acumen.  I'll accept that tradeoff quite readily, annoyance and discouragement as it sometimes provokes.
