The company is not even appearing in a Google search....which is particularly worrying :(

Oh dear, I do hope things are okay. I have always enjoyed my dealings with them.

Temporary cyber attack on website necessitated it being taken down - hopefully for only a relatively short time. David K-W writes: "An Israeli organisation 'SEJEAL' has hacked into the data centre in the uk where the files are held and has infiltrated 20,000 sites including Cameo." If you want anything e-mail him direct on: cameo36classics@gmail.com and pay using PayPal.

Thank you so much for that! What a relief that they are still going, but so sorry for the annoyance they must have have had from the hackers. I think I might buy something from them to cheer them up!

Whew! What a relief they aren't defunct! I would hate to see this adventurous company go under, despite their choices of sometimes rather sub-standard orchestras.

All they can afford presumably.

Some of those orchestras are pretty impressive considering. The former Eastern Bloc may have been a horrid place to live, but it did support the arts, and it makes me blush to think how few towns of comparable size in the UK have orchestras as active, however much Dave Cameron may sponsor 'hiphop' and his other favourites

Thanks for your kind thoughts, Jimfin. I can report that the website was back, and fully functional, last weekend. It was a really worrying time with so many recent projects newly released, though quite a few customers did pay from their Paypal accounts, emailing the catalogue number and address. 'Zejeal' is reported as a Far East organisation NOT Israeli, I am pleased to say, considering around half our releases feature the Jewish composers Ignaz Brüll and Salomon Jadassohn. That would have been tough to take.

I shall look forward to the next release. I have been loving the Gipps piano concerto (especially as so little is available of her output), and was taken by surprise by the loveliness of the Jadassohn serenade on the previous volume.

I have been told or read (I no longer remember by whom or where, so you'll have to take my word for it for now) that the Cameo Ivanovs series is, in fact, lamentably dead.
