Wow, Maris, what a mouth-watering batch of Uzbek music uploads :) :)
I have always wanted to hear Uzbek classical music and am most grateful to you for giving us here the opportunity to do so :)
I'm always in the mood for some Central Asian exoticism ;D
The Brusilovsky works, now this......keep up the excellent work, my friend :)

Thank you very much for all of this. I've been trying to familiarize myself with more of Central Asia's composers. Sicmu shared an excellent LP of works by Yunis Mamedov on the Unsung Composers forum. I've also enjoyed some works from the following Uzbek composer family. Sovet (Sergei) VARELAS http://www.varelas.net/sergey/download.htm (including one large album of piano pieces, several song books, a string quartet, and an opera) Anatoly VARELAS http://www.varelas.net/anatoly/work.htm (lots of violin/piano pieces, but also piano solo works, songs, and large-scale works) Dmitry VARELAS http://www.varelas.net/dmitry/download.htm (lots of wind/piano works and Telemann arrangements for flute, but some piano stuff also)

Latvian-- I was just about to post the Vildanov 2nd Symphony, but you beat me to it. I did find a photo of the album cover.

All download links I have posted are for works, that, to my knowledge, have never been commercially released in digital form. Should you find I've been in error, please notify myself or an Administrator. Please IM me if I've made any errors that require attention, as I may not read replies.

Wow, yes - what a magnificent collection ! One half of the afternoon downloading & cataloguing, the other half listening.....gee, it's a tough life sometimes ! Thank you so much.
