Another very welcome release of music by Hubert Parry: a new recording of twenty-six of his excellent solo songs (which were for the most part published in twelve sets of English Lyrics). We have had good surveys of this material by both Robert Tear (Argo, later Decca) and Stephen Varcoe (Hyperion), but this is the first recording to offer several soloists (soprano, mezzo and baritone).

Excellent news! I still hope that one day someone will record the full 12 sets of the English Lyrics. I really feel these were some of Parry's finest works.
