Metropolitan Opera chief conductor James Levine will be n/a until 2013 at the earliest, due to health problems, the Met has reported.

Fabio Luisi will be handing nearly all of Levine's dates - including two Ring cycles... not a repertoire in which Luisi has much background?

It seems surprising that a Wagner specialist wasn't brought in for the Ring cycles?
