The iconoclastic British film director Ken Russell has died, aged 84.

The Guardian presented an overview of his work connected with classical music.

Savage Messiah is my favourite film directed by him. A very underrated film.

It is my favourite too. Underrated and almost forgotten. And the music (and its use) ! At least Debussy Nocturnes and Scriabin Third Symphony.
