Well, Summer is a-comin' in I suppose (currently blowin' a gale hereabouts)...

can we please limit the pictures to CD covers please?    This is getting distracting to the main purpose of the AMF forum

Oh I don't know, I think it's rather fun and you (or anyone else) can just ignore the others.  It's not as if their presence inhibits the posting of album covers if that's what you want to do.

Which is a bit of an unknown quantity ATM.

Absolutely, couldn't agree more! Damned irritating ain't it?

That reminded me of the parody in "1066 and all that": "Winter is a-comin' in, loudly sing Goddam!"

;D

Sellar and Yeatman were brilliant. Another genius pairing which this brings to mind is Michael Flanders and Donald Swann, whose Song of the Weather seems even more appropriate than usual this year:

January brings the snow
Makes your feet and fingers glow.
February’s ice and sleet
Freeze the toes right off your feet.
Welcome March with wint’ry wind
Would thou wert not so unkind.
April brings the sweet Spring showers
On and on for hours and hours.
Farmers fear unkindly May
Frost by night and hail by day.
June just rains and never stops
Thirty days and spoils the crops.
In July the sun is hot.
Is it shining? No, it’s not.
August, cold and dank and wet,
Brings more rain than any yet.
Bleak September’s mist and mud
Is enough to chill the blood.
Then October adds a gale
Wind and slush and rain and hail.
Dark November brings the fog
Should not do it to a dog.
Freezing cold December; then
Bloody January again!

Just reaching for the "Tena Laddy Discreet". Truly, this is the British weather summed up most succinctly!

A clapped-out duo much admired by Sir Edward German (1862-1936) listening in on his Marconi...

...that'll fit nicely in me little garden shed.
