This is a very welcome release indeed - http://www.musicweb-international.com/classrev/2012/Nov12/Gardner_Christmas_EMRCD009.htmEM RECORDS EMR CD009Gardner is still sadly under-represented in the current catalogue (it would be particularly good to hear his full-scale opera The Moon and Sixpence, premiered at Sadler's Wells in 1957) and I would urge members to listen to this excellent Naxos disc which showcases his considerable achievements - :)

Many thanks for the notification, John :)! Gardner has been a composer whom I have always wanted to hear more of-I greatly enjoyed the Naxos disc :). And just in time for the holidays, too! I'm still hoping for a recording of Gardner's large scale Symphony no. 2...
