This area consisted initially of the four territories of Gabon, Middle Congo, Tchad and Ubangi-Shari (now the Central African Empire). In the 1950's the neighbouring French territory of Cameroun was added.

Area: 970,000 square miles. Languages: French and various native tongues.

Capital: Brazzaville

Monetary System: 100 Centimes = 1 Franc
