I remember when I first walked into a practically defunct Wherehouse store in southern California (West Covina, maybe?) and saw the then new recordings of Cage's percussion music on the shelves. I think that was the last thing I ever bought at a Wherehouse.

And now, I'm in Ostrava for the new music festival here, and in a couple of hours, I'll be hearing Amadinda live, in pieces by Hollo, Vaczi, Ligeti, and Cage, including Four4, the recording of which was one of those from that already awful retail store back in the day, and one I've listened to many times over the years.

Hmmm. Not much of a topic. I mean, no questions like "How do you like Amadinda?" or "What's your favorite percussion ensemble/music/composer?" or something along those lines.

Well, too bad!
