I have learned, from Onno van Rijen's excellent site, that Shostakovich left a 16th symphony (op. 147c) incomplete at his death :o! I am guessing that the existing fragment of it is on the insubstantial side, or else I would have heard about it long before. Does anyone know how much is left of this mysterious piece? Hopefully more than what is left of Sibelius 8 ;D!

Gerard McBurney is usually first to know about anything of this kind - but I didn't find any mention?

For example McBurney has resurrected both 'Moskva-Cheryomushki' (DSCH's madcap comedy musical) and 'Orango' (an opera of which there were only scraps left).
