1  Little-known music of all eras / Youtube performances / Corentin Boissier, Flute Sonata on: April 24, 2020, 11:47:14 pm
The recently uploaded Sonata for Flute and Piano by French neoromantic composer Corentin Boissier, performed by Gladys Avignon and himself. I find it a delightful, spirited work. Would like to know your opinions about it...
2  Little-known music of all eras / New recordings / Re: More Hendrik Andriessen from CPO on: March 31, 2015, 09:32:04 pm
Incidentally this will leave only three of Andriessen's more substantial purely orchestral works unrecorded: the 1941 Capriccio, the 1954 Rhapsody "Libertas venit" and the 1970 Chromatic Variations for flute, oboe, violin, cello and string orchestra.
There exists a performance of the "Capriccio" (1941) conducted by Eduard Flipse that is available on YouTube :
3  Little-known music of all eras / Wish lists and requests / Re: Lydia Auster's other symphonic music on: March 30, 2014, 03:26:24 pm
Could you please upload her "Youth Piano Concerto" and "Two Pieces for Strings", if you still have these recordings...
4  Little-known music of all eras / Downloads discussion / Re: Canadian Music on: February 16, 2014, 10:06:57 pm
Indeed, Heather Schmidt has written a 5th Piano Concerto (subtitled "Ammolite", 2009) as well as a 6th one (subtitled "Mythos", also from 2009) :

6  Little-known music of all eras / Discussion of obscure composers / Re: Obscure Russian/Soviet Piano Concertos on: February 09, 2014, 10:28:10 am

Ah.... yes the Nikolayeva... probably the most obscure piece of music of all time....

I've a recording of Tatiana Nikolayeva's second piano concerto in E-flat major, op. 32 (1966). I'm going to upload it, if you're interested...
7  Little-known music of all eras / Coming broadcasts and listen-later links / Re: Vitezslava Kapralova : Sinfonietta (1937) on: February 09, 2014, 10:18:12 am
Vitezslava Kapralova's "Sinfonietta" (more precisely "Military Sinfonietta") IS still on YouTube :

And, once again on YouTube, I suggest you her very post-romantic "Piano Concerto in D minor" (1935), really "worth investigating" :
8  Little-known music of all eras / Discussion of obscure composers / Re: Canadian Composers on: February 07, 2014, 12:51:24 pm
Concerning Heather Schmidt, I really like her orchestral works. I've a recording of her "Piano Concerto No. 3" for piano and String orchestra (2003), taken from the live recording of the premiere. I can upload it, if you want - it would make available her first four piano concertos. A shame I don't have her piano concertos No. 5 (2009) neither No. 6 (2010)...
9  Little-known music of all eras / Wish lists and requests / Re: Cor De Groot as composer on: February 07, 2014, 12:42:00 pm
His "Miniature Piano Concerto" (1950) and his "Capriccio for piano and orchestra" (1955) are available on YouTube, on collectionCB3 :
