This is interesting. I've always preferred Magritte to the somewhat,imho,overrated show off,Dali (no offence to his admirers,but he wasn't exactly a shrinking violet!).Also,Magritte's paintings are more interesting,aesthetically pleasing (no faecal matter!) & arguably,more influential. Just look at all the advertising & commercial art inspired by his paintings. These sheet music designs provide an interesting insight into his early career and,come to think of it, 'Arlita' would look very nice on my wall! Having missed the sale,my A3 printer might (just) cough up a fair copy! ;D
