Thanks so much for the lengthy answer to my question.  I am very interested in the set of the Bentoiu symphonies and will try to get it soon.  I have always been a big fan of Romanian symphonic music and I happen to love sets of symphonies by one composer in one box set.  I thank you so much for this information and I have the CD shop in Romania in my favorites so I can access it faster.  Many thanks again !  Malito

Dear MVS!  I am really interested in the Bentoiu symphony set.  I have his 5th and realylike it.  Have you heard any of the others?  Before I spend $65 American on it, I'd like to know something about the first 4 symphonies as I assume 6-8 might be a bit modern.  Anything you can say would be a help!!

I have always been a big fan of his Symphony No. 1 which, as far as I know has not been on CD...it should be.  I agree that most of the music of Shchedrin is not that memorable byut the 1st symphony and his "Anna Karenina" ballet are my favorites by him.  Malito

Each time I try to download the Sulho Ranta  Sinfonia Piccola, I have a warning (first time ever) that it contains a virus.  Has anyone else encountered this?  I am afraid to download it but I would really like to have it.  I have Norton and Malware anti-virus systems but still feel like it is dangerous to download!  What say ye?  Malito

Are there any of Shahin Farhat's 12 symphonies available other than the #11 which was just posted?  I would surely love to hear more of his music.  Malito

Sometimes the music does not measure up to what we expect or like but how wonderful to be able to hear it at all.  I was really excited to hear the Eller works.  I liked the 1st symphony most of all but Eller's music has never really "wowed" me.  Still it is good to have and when a music lover comes for a visit, it is nice to pull out pieces they've never heard of much less heard.  I have friends in the Tuscon orchestra who cannot even begin to believe some of the music I have and thanks to US and now this new site, I am the owner of an enviable collection that only a few of us world wide can say we own.
