While I am certainly grateful for any music that I receive on YT and through AMF, I think I usually thank people or often do. I do not know how to upload music as I am an idiot with computers but I certainly thankful for any music I am able to get. In a fairly lonely retirement, music has gotten me through and I appreciate that more than I can say. Malito

Dundonnell:
I wish I could upload things but I am all thumbs when it comes to computers....Soderlind's "Two Pieces from the Desert" for oboe and orchestra might be his most exciting works. Hopefully someone on this site will have it and know how to upload it. If not, I can always send you a copy in the mail. Malito (Malcolm)

Thanks very much, Latvian. I'll try but I am such a neophyte with computers. I guess my age of 73 will explain a lot to you.
I hear that Imants Kalnins 7th and Oboe Concerto are going to be performed any day now, maybe they already have. MY friend Martins Saulespurens from Riga told me about it He knows I am a nut case for everything Kalnins. I was even supposed to meet him in Riga when we were there in 2010 but something came up at the past minute. My wife and I LOVED Latvia and had the most wonderful visit with Martins' apartment on Elizabeth iela in downtown Riga near the conservatory. One of the most wonderful vacations we ever had.

I would love to record a copy of the Korndorf 3rd symphony. I was willing to tape 80 minutes of it and lose the end but my computer won't even let me do that. Is there a way to do that (records 80 minutes of the 95 minute symphony) or make one disc as far as I can and mid-recording put in a second disc? Thanks a million! Malito

Thank you Clive ("?). I am hopeelss when it comes to computers and I have never quite learned how to manipulate You Tube. Like the famous Blanche DuBois, when it comes to computers "I must rely on the kindness of strangers." How I loved that symphony and several other Japanese type symphonies on the You Tube presentations. Maybe someone else will see fit to upload this so I can get it. Thank you so much for responding! Help!
I have downloaded the Ciurlionis 3 times and have yet to be able to find it in my library. I have tried under Ciurlionis, Mikolojus and even Kestutis to no avail. I know that sometimes works get listed by either first or last name and occasionally by the title of the work but I cannot find anything. I have actually seen it download 3 times so it has to be somewhere. Rather than go through my lengthy list of compositons saved, I'd appreciate it if someone can help me on this. Odd, no? Thanks, Malito

Jolly Roger:
Thanks so much for all the Swedish music lately. I love the music of Hans Eklund---what a pity that he is not better-known! I also enjoyed the symphony no. 2 of Anders Nilsson. Alas, nothing happens when I try to download his Violin Concerto. Could you check into that? I so appreciate all the music I get here...when you're retired as I am and have little to do, this is an excellent and exiting addition to an otherwise mediocre life. Thank you again! Malito
