Title: Parry's 'The Pied Piper of Hamelin' on vimeo
Post by: patmos.beje on June 13, 2020, 10:39:12 am

Not YouTube but vimeo and from 6 years ago! A modern performance of Parry's 1905 setting of Robert Browning's poem 'The Pied Piper of Hamelin' for tenor, bass, chorus and orchestra.

An older performance is available on YouTube and the British and Irish Music catalogue in the Downloads section on this site.

Unfortunately no performance details.

See: https://vimeo.com/97820972

Apologies if someone has noticed this before and drawn attention to it.

Oh interesting! I shall give it a try. The older version is pretty scratchy and something I don't often listen to. Since the release of Judith I've been revisiting a lot of Parry.

I have seen its old version on YouTube. In Vimeo video, perform fantastic performance. I truly appreciate their passion.
