Title: British Clarinet Concertos
Post by: britishcomposer on April 14, 2020, 08:46:53 pm
Dear members!
I‘ve been googling a bit on Ruth Gipps recently and found this notice of a forthcoming recording:
https://www.tashmina.co.uk/news/robert-plane-to-record-with-bbc-scottish-and-martyn-brabbins/ (https://www.tashmina.co.uk/news/robert-plane-to-record-with-bbc-scottish-and-martyn-brabbins/)
Robert Plane is the renowned soloist in concertos by Ian Hamilton, Richard Walthew and Ruth Gipps.
The notice is from April 2019 so the recordings should already have taken place.

Seconded! Walthew and Gipps - more please. I hope for the latter's 3rd and 5th symphonies from Chandos with Rumon Gamba...

Great news, thanks! And there is definitely more Gipps on its way from Chandos, though I fear it will depend on when orchestras can get back into the recording studio  :'( :'(
