Dutton, Capriccio, CPO have all rushed to record virtually the entire Braunfels orchestral music. Excluding the cantatas which, requiring, as they obviously do, chorus and are therefore more expensive to record I reckon that only "Hexensabbat" for piano and orchestra, op.8 (1906) Suite in e minor for orchestra, op.48 (1933-36) Hebrides Dance for piano and orchestra, op.70 (1950-51) remain unrecorded. .......and since Dutton has another cd ready for release soon.......... :) Title: Re: New Braunfels cd from CPO Post by: M. This was not, primarily, because he informed us that he would not be buying this new cd: although that in itself can be of little interest to others, and certainly not because he considers Braunfels "over-rated": which is a legitimate view to hold. The post was deleted because of the use of foul language which will NEVER be tolerated on this website. It was not acceptable under the previous administration.
