Title: Which versions of Shostakovich symphonies do you like best?
Post by: guest377 on June 14, 2017, 04:09:02 pm
OK  as a  collector of LPs CDs and various mp3s of the DS's symphonies... what versions do you like the best?  I especially like the Rostropovich recordings.  Actually, I remember Rostropovich performing the DS Cello Concerto with the DSO several years ago.. I was in the front row.. on edge of my seat with every note.  Also... Neeme Jarvi's are also great additions.

Kondrashin's are wonderful... but very expensive.
