Unlike the somewhat shadowy first, the eighth is a relatively recent piece which I believe has been performed and (maybe? hopefully?) broadcast several times since its premiere by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra in 2010. So it seems reasonable to think that it might be relatively more available than the first. Al ieast that's the working theory. ;D Brian |
