Title: New Korvits and Antheil
Post by: guest377 on March 31, 2017, 10:09:08 pm
Chandos is releasing in May 2017 Antheil: Orchestral Works Vol 1.     The new series focuses on the works on George Antheil, known as the bad boy of music but slowly becoming one of the great US symphonists.  The series includes the Fourth and Fifth symphonies, and the memorable Texas inspired "Over the Plains" recorded for the first time here.

Ondine is releasing in April 2017  Korvits: Moorland Elegies [Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir; Tallinn Chamber Orchestra ; Risto Joost] [Ondine : ODE 1306-2]    Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir,  Tallinn Chamber Orchestra

should be a good month.

I have several of the Antheil CDs... some on Naxos... wasn't too impressed.

I started a thread a few days ago about the Antheil cycle.
