Title: BL to provide trail of MGG online
Post by: guest377 on February 24, 2017, 03:56:37 pm
for those that do research or acquire music scores... this may be of interest.... this is going around on several music forums this week:

The British Library has enrolled in a trial of MGG Online, a new digital encyclopaedia that includes the second edition of Die Musik in Geschichte und Gegenwart (MGG) as well as regular updates and newly-written articles.

MGG Online can be accessed from any of the British Library terminals in our reading rooms at St Pancras or Boston Spa (but sadly not directly from your own laptop either within or outside the BL). The address is https://mgg-online.com.

The trial begins today, 22 February 2017, and will expire on 23 March 2017.

The intention is to take out a subscription to MGG Online once the trial is complete, but this will be dependent on usage levels. If MGG Online is of interest to you and you are visiting the BL, please do make use of it during this trial period.

Comments are very welcome and can be sent directly to me
