Title: New Rudolf Tobias complete organ music on Toccata Post by: guest377 on April 14, 2015, 03:31:54 pm On April 6, record label Toccata Classics released a brand new CD featuring organ music by composer and organist Rudolf Tobias – one the most imporant leading figures in formation and development of Estonian national music culture and art of composing. CD “Rudolf Tobias. Complete Organ Works” comprises „Largo“ („Know Ye Not“), Little Choral Preludes, Ciacona „Fling Wide the Door“, Prelude and Fughetta in C minor, Prelude „For Glory of God“, Agnus Dei, 12 Choral Preludes, Prelude in D major, Fugue in D minor and organ arrangements of Chorus Mysticus and „Sanctus“ from Tobias’s oratorio „Jonah’ Mission“. Music is perfomed by acknowledged Estonian organist now living in Norway Ines Maidre. CD also features young soprano Arete Teemets. |
