Title: Susanna Mälkki appointed Chief Conductor of the Helsinki Philharmonic Post by: guest377 on September 11, 2014, 03:42:25 pm Susanna Mälkki begins a three-year term as Chief Conductor of the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra in autumn 2016, succeeding the present Chief Conductor, John Storgårds, whose term ends in December 2015. Currently Mälkki is Principal Guest Conductor of the Gulbenkian Orchestra in Lisbon, Portugal and a regular guest at the most prestigious concert halls and opera houses in Europe and North America.
