Title: Busoni Post by: chill319 on February 23, 2014, 10:50:17 pm At an impressionable age, I read and reread and again reread Busoni's "Sketch of a New Aesthetic in Music," then published by Dover. It has been one of the shaping forces for my musical judgments ever since. I find Busoni's work more penetrating than the volume on musical aesthetics published under Stravinsky's name around 1940 (forgetting who Craft says actually wrote it). https://archive.org/details/sketchofanewesth000125mbp |
