I can't go to Kiev until things settle down.  The State Dept. is issuing caution re: travel to Ukraine and Kiev.
In fact, the TV news in the US is muted about the coverage, but all over E Europe its running 24/7  about the demonstrations in Kiev.
Can someone pick this up for me?

Dave  (from Tallinn)

in some respects, Ukraine is starting to re release the old Soviet classics onto CD via the Lyiv Orchestra ... but have not seen anything like this from Belarus.  In fact, if you research the countries of the Soviet Union, almost all of them except for Belarus, have active recording companies releasing their nation's symphonic music........

with the changes occurring in Ukraine.. we may see more western investment into Ukraine.. the silly tax system that exists and harmonization with the EU VAT tax structure... what that means is possible adoption of the EU as currency and easier e-commerce between the EU and USA/Japan.  Presently, the tax structure is like the old Soviet Union with silly "tax stamps" on everything which prohibits e-commerce and investment.

actually with the election in Ukraine just over and a leaning toward the EU and Poland, I think we will be private business and capital pour into Ukraine with the availability of Ukrainian music soon..  private capital makes consumers happy !

private business and capital pour into Ukraine

Seems unlikely at present, frankly.  Although a certain kind of "Ukrainian music" might be issued (marches in praise of Bandera, etc).
