Title: Ken Russell RIP
Post by: Neil McGowan on November 29, 2011, 11:17:07 am
The iconoclastic British film director Ken Russell has died, aged 84.

The Guardian presented an overview of his work connected with classical music. (http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicblog/2011/nov/28/ken-russell-turned-composers-marble-busts-into-flesh)

Savage Messiah is my favourite film directed by him. A very underrated film.

It is my favourite too. Underrated and almost forgotten. And the music (and its use) ! At least Debussy Nocturnes and Scriabin Third Symphony.
