Norbert Sprongl (1892-1983) was born in the village of Schrattenthal, Lower Austria, in 1892. Little further information about him is available, possibly because of an association with the Hilterites in the nineteen-thirties.

I have no information about the number and dates of his symphonies. Some say that the work performed at the Games was not a symphony at all but a "dance suite".

Here, though, is his Symphony number 3, opus 133:
