Vasily Zolotarev (or Vasily Zolotaryov or Василий Золотарёв) was born in Taganrog in 1872. He gave us seven fine symphonies:

no. 1 1902
no. 2 1929, revised 1955
no. 3 1934
no. 4 1935
no. 5 1942
no. 6 1944
no. 7 1962

and six superb string quartets:

1899, 1902, 1906, 1912, 1915 and 1943.
